Project Overview
This customer had some very nice planters on the side of tired paving. Look from this townhouse second floor wasn't the view they wanted. So the answer was Artificial Grass. If you have a patio and it is relatively flat artificial grass is a simple way to install a new lawn with very little maintenance. We simply filled any lumps and bumps with sand and lay the grass on top of a weed membrane. The edges are glued down making it secure and safe. It is easy to turn a yard of paved garden back into a vibrant area for you and the family. It has now become a little oasis for this family.
Patio-to-Grass Transformation
Converting an existing paved patio to artificial grass is one of the most straightforward and effective garden upgrades available. This Warrington townhouse had tired, uninviting paving that created an uninspiring view from the upper floors. The customer had invested in attractive planters and fencing, but the overall garden lacked appeal and the hard surfaces felt cold and unwelcoming.
Installation Method
Because the patio was already relatively flat and level, the installation process was efficient. We filled any minor dips or bumps in the paving surface using sand to create a perfectly level base. A professional-grade weed membrane was laid directly over the patio surface, preventing any weeds or moss from emerging between the artificial grass and paving beneath. This membrane is essential for creating a barrier while allowing water to drain away.
Materials and Securing Edges
High-quality artificial grass was unrolled and carefully fitted across the entire patio area. The critical detail was securing all edges with strong adhesive, ensuring the grass remained firmly in place and safe for daily family use. Properly secured edges prevent the grass from lifting or moving underfoot, which is particularly important in high-traffic areas and where children and pets will be playing regularly. No tripping hazards, no loose corners—just a safe, tidy surface.
The Transformation
What was once a tired yard of cracked and stained paving has become a vibrant green outdoor retreat. The planters now sit against a soft, attractive grass backdrop. The view from inside the house has been completely transformed. The space feels larger, softer, and far more inviting for family gatherings. The artificial grass requires no watering, no weeding, and eliminates the need for pressure washing the patio seasonally. This Warrington family has created an outdoor oasis that enhances their home's appeal and livability.
